just discharged!!!!
ouch! skin testing sucks! just discharged from my 2 day confinement because of ATP and CAP. unfortunately my second CAP in less than a year. thanks to my co-workers and to my attending physician for caring for me. huhu. god bless you all!

dubai, see you soon...
soon, i will be leaving for dubai. i've been wanting to go there long before i passed the NLE. i already have a sister there working for the biggest media company in the Middle East. dubai is just one emirate that comprises the UAE. to practice as a nurse, you have to have at least two years paid working experience, to pass their exam and prepare your documents. here are the processes i'm going thru right now.
1. High School/Secondary Certification- go to your school registrar and ask for your form 137 and the certification which is FREE. i was instructed to return after 2 days and i got it. you can now go to your deped regional office. please have your form 137, certification and diploma photocopied. the officer-in-charge will ask for 2 copies each and the original. you also have to give 2 passport size picture formal, with white background. you will be instructed to return to get the original. a slip will be given to you. the slip will be used later on to pay for the authentication at any DHL branch.
2. College TOR, Diploma, RLE- have it photocopied, 2 each. go to your registrar and ask for a certification(for level III accredited institutions) or special order. then go to your nearest CHED office. give the photocopies only but you also have to present the original documents. i payed 60pesos only for the documentary stamp. you will be given a slip when to return. go to the nearest

PRC License, Board Rating, Board Certificate, Certificate of Good Moral Standing- have your documents photocopied except for the last one which you are going to request. get a request form from the guard. buy 4 documentary stamps and you have to pay 75 pesos each document. you will be ask to pay at the nearest DHL. DHL will get the form from the PRC and will deliver it to you. the good moral certificate will be released the following day.
4. Certificate of Employment- have it photocopied, 2 each. have it notarized then proceed to the RTC. go to the nearest DHL and send it for authentication.
after receiving all the documents, you will have t send it to the UAE embassy for the seal thru DHL. i will update this post regarding the cost and the time of each process. have a nice day everyone!

back on duty...
yesterday, i finished my ACLS which started last saturday. i learned a lot of updates about CPR and of course my favorite, intubation(feeling). i will post pictures later. i was back on duty few hours ago and i was so eager to try my newly acquired skills. like i was hoping that someone would arrive in the ER dead or severely distress(how sinister). sadly and thankfully, no distressed or dead individuals arrived. tomorrow is another day. hehehe

very long time no post...
it's almost 3 years since I started working as a nurse. i have been assigned in many areas of practice. the OR, ER, ward and ICU. transporting an intubated patient while ambubagging is very challenging with the condition of our roads. sometimes i would talk and tell myself ''pwede mohilak ug colored. huhu" (can i cry with colored tears).
